Remember that time when TV personality Moshe Ndiki hilariously ambushed the cast of Gomora while on set to complain about Melusi’s constant cheating?
Well, now the Rea Tsotella presenter can complain about storylines as a colleague to Zolisa Xaluva (Melusi), Thembi Seete (Gladys), Katlego Danke (Thati) and the rest of the cast as he has now joined the team.
Speaking about his love for the telenovela, Moshe tells Drum Magazine that he is an avid viewer of the show.
“I have watched the show with intention. I was totally obsessed with the show. It was the same with The Queen, when I was watching it, I saw myself in it. So with Gomora, I watched every day and when I am busy during the week, I binge over the weekend,” he explained.
Gomora airs every weekday at 19:30 on Mzansi Magic.
In 2021 when Moshe visited the set, the storyline centred around Gladys who could not leave her cheating husband, Melusi. But now, Gladys is a liberated queen and the 7 Colours co-host loves that for her.
“Now I am happy for Gladys finally leaving Melusi. She has got her groove back. She even had a divorce party, and I am so happy for her. That Melusi was toxic for her,” he added.
HOW DID HE BAG THE ROLE?
Moshe’s viral video is what opened doors for him. After shooting the video on set, he told Seriti Films (the production company behind Gomora) that if there was ever a time they needed him for a role, they should not hesitate reach out.
“Then they wrote the role for me,” he told Drum.
His character is a teacher named Andile Faku.
Speaking about Andile he said, “Andile Faku is such a dodgy teacher. Viewers are going to love to hate him or hate to love him.”
Shooting for Gomora has been fun for Moshe.
“When I am there, it is like I am with family, it’s like I am chilling with my cousins and it’s all fun. Yes, work comes first but we are really made to feel at home. I honestly do not mind waking up at 4am to get to work.”
