Anambra State Govt Acquires  Two More Schools In Orumba South Council Area

In furtherance of the resolve to bring education to the doorstep of every Anambra Child, Anambra State Government, through the Ministry of Basic Education has acquired two more schools at Eziagu and Okpu in Owerre-Ezukalla, Orumba South Local Government Area.

 

The schools acquired are Eziagu Community Secondary School and Okpu Primary School Owerre-Ezukala.

 

Performing the functions, the commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha stated that Governor Willie Obiano’s commitment to ensuring that the learning needs of all are met, resulted to the establishment of schools in the hinterland.

 

Earlier in their addresses, the people of Eziagu and Okpu in Owerre-Ezukala, eulogized Governor Obiano for all the giant strides of his administration in the Education Sector.

 

They disclosed that their decisions to embark on the school projects was informed by the need to alleviate the plights of their children, who travel far distances to acquire primary and secondary education.
