Premier Sihle Zikalala of Kwa-Zulu Natal has filed a criminal complaint against Mchunu at the Durban Central Police Station, accusing him of assault and criminal injuria.
The Office of the Premier in KwaZulu-Natal announced on Monday that it will pursue all legal options against former Ukhozi FM presenter Ngizwe Mchunu following a dramatic weekend incident.
Zikalala is believed to have came close to trading blows with Mchunu at the Ingoma KaZwelonke Competition on Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
