An 18-Year-Old Student Dies After E-Bike Crash at University of Nottingham Early This Morning

An 18-year-old student has tragically lost her life after being involved in an e-bike crash on the University of Nottingham campus.

Emergency Response and Fatal Outcome

In the early hours of the morning, emergency services rushed to the University Park campus following reports of a road traffic incident.

The young woman was found with severe injuries while riding an electric bicycle, and despite immediate medical attention, she was sadly pronounced dead shortly after being transported to the hospital.

Investigation Underway as Police and University Express Their Condolences

Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, while her family has been notified of her passing.

Although the victim’s identity has not yet been made public, a spokesperson for the University of Nottingham expressed deep sorrow.

They stated, “It is with great sadness that we confirm the death of one of our students.

This is a deeply upsetting time, and all of our thoughts are with her friends, family, and loved ones.”

Detective Sergeant Paul Clark from Nottinghamshire Police conveyed the shock of the tragedy, noting that the investigation is still ongoing.

He said, “This is a tragic incident that I know will come as a shock to all who knew and loved the victim.
