On Labor Day, Amy Slaton, known for her role in 1000-lb Sisters, found herself in a troubling situation at a safari park in Tennessee.

The 36-year-old TV personality was seen being wheeled out of the park on a stretcher, reportedly after being bitten by a camel.

Although she appeared to be in considerable pain, with her right forearm wrapped in a shirt, the exact details of her injury remain unclear.

A Routine Check Turns into an Arrest

Police were initially called to the park to address the camel bite incident, but things took a dramatic turn when officers detected a suspicious odor coming from Slaton’s vehicle.

Upon further inspection, deputies discovered substances they believed to be mushrooms and marijuana, which were reportedly in plain sight.

This led to the arrest of Slaton and her friend, Brian Scott Lovvorn, on charges including illegal possession of schedule I and schedule VI substances, as well as two counts of child endangerment.

Legal Troubles and Family Matters

Both Slaton and Lovvorn were taken into custody and booked at the Crockett County Jail with bond set at $10,000.

It remains unclear whether they have entered pleas or retained legal representation.

This legal trouble comes on the heels of a turbulent year for Slaton, who finalized her divorce from her ex-husband, Michael Halterman, last year.

The couple, who share two young children, reportedly had ongoing conflicts, particularly related to their participation in the TLC reality show.
