It’s not every day you see someone go through more than a dozen surgeries on a single part of their body, but Alisa Kazmina—model and ex-wife of Russian football star Andrei Arshavin—isn’t living an ordinary life.
Her transformation has been anything but easy, and now, she’s giving the world a closer look at the long, painful journey she’s been on to reclaim her appearance and health.
Facing the Camera Again After a Long Medical Journey
In a new video shared by plastic surgeon Denis Agapov, 42-year-old Kazmina is seen sitting calmly on a clinic couch, wrapped in a terrycloth robe bearing the facility’s name.
The short clip was taken just before yet another surgical procedure—yes, another—making it one of more than twelve operations on her nose over the past couple of years.
She didn’t sugarcoat the process either. “It’s been a long journey—about two and a half years,” she said. “The early surgeries were the hardest.
There was almost nothing left to work with. But now, thankfully, we’re only doing corrections.”
A Health Battle That Made Headlines
Kazmina’s road to this point has been rocky. Back in 2021, she shared that she was battling an autoimmune disease, a condition that can cause the body to attack its own tissues.
According to her, the illness led to a total of six surgeries and even landed her in a coma at one point.
However, not everyone bought into the story. Renowned plastic surgeon Vladimir Plakhotin publicly questioned her claims, suggesting that if she truly had autoimmune necrosis—an aggressive and often deadly condition—she wouldn’t still be alive.
That doubt added another layer of controversy to an already sensitive and emotional saga.
From Football Fame to Family Struggles
For those unfamiliar, Alisa Kazmina was once married to Russian football legend Andrei Arshavin.
Arshavin is best known for his explosive performance at UEFA Euro 2008 and for becoming Arsenal’s most expensive signing in 2009.
Though his football career brought him international fame, his personal life hasn’t stayed out of the spotlight either.
Since retiring, Arshavin has taken on administrative roles with his longtime club Zenit Saint Petersburg, most recently stepping into a senior executive position.
Meanwhile, his ex-wife has become a frequent subject of Russian media due to her ongoing health battles and cosmetic procedures.
Pushing Forward Through Pain
Despite the criticism and health scares, Kazmina continues to show resilience.
Her latest surgery is just one more step in a process that has tested her both physically and emotionally.
“Corrective procedures are a relief,” she said, indicating that while the worst may be behind her, the journey is far from over.
Through it all, Kazmina’s openness about her health and her appearance serves as a raw, real look at the complex intersection of beauty, identity, and survival in the public eye.
