Al Bowardi tours UMEX and SimTEX 2022 exhibition

ABU DHABI, 23rd February, 2022 – Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, today toured UMEX and SimTEX 2022 exhibition, which is being organised by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Defence.

The tour included a number of national and foreign pavilions, where he was briefed on the latest developments on unmanned systems, simulation, training, AI, robotics, and multi-use systems for the defence and civilian sectors.

He was briefed by exhibitors about the most important activities and projects, the most important modern industries showcased by companies and their future plans regarding to unmanned systems.

He also toured a number of national companies and pavilions and got acquainted with the efforts made by national companies in adopting the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and their role in shaping the technology of the future, which would contribute to strengthening the UAE’s stature globally.

Al Bowardi emphasised that the two exhibitions will enhance efforts to advance the innovation and modernity concept, and support the goals of Year of the 50th by upgrading future technologies through robotic and artificial intelligence techniques in line with the UAE’s strategy for artificial intelligence 2031.
