Denial of Withdrawal: Muritala Ajaka Firm on Kogi Governorship Candidacy

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate for the November 11 Kogi State election, Muritala Ajaka, has strongly denied reports suggesting his withdrawal from the race.

The Director of New Media of the Muritala Ajaka Campaign Organization, David Ijele, emphasized this in a statement released in Lokoja, the state capital.

Fake News and Propaganda Exposed

In the statement, Ijele categorically labeled the reports of Ajaka stepping down as fake news and propaganda.

He urged the public to dismiss such claims, asserting that Ajaka is steadfast in his pursuit of becoming the next Governor of Kogi State.

Miscreants and Sinking Ships: Origins of False Reports

Ijele pointed fingers at miscreants, sinking ships, and a group of deluded individuals as the architects behind the false reports.

He stressed that the misinformation is a desperate attempt by those who repeatedly lie to themselves to create a false narrative against Ajaka’s candidacy.

Public Call to Disregard Fake Letter

The campaign organization called on the general public, particularly their supporters, to disregard any circulating fake letters or rumors of withdrawal.

Ijele highlighted that the alleged withdrawal letter is not signed by credible individuals, and the campaign views it as a last-resort effort by the outgoing government and their allies.

Firm Stance: Ajaka’s Commitment to the People

The statement reiterates Ajaka’s commitment to the people and clarifies that he will not step down for anyone at this crucial time in the election race.

The campaign remains resolute in dispelling false information and maintaining focus on the upcoming electoral contest.
