Political excitement filled Mubi, Adamawa State, as Ramatu Bello, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), received an overwhelming show of support from leaders and stakeholders across Mubi North, Mubi South, and Maiha Federal Constituency.
The backing, aimed at her bid for the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 elections, highlights her strong connection with the local communities.
The endorsement was made public during a vibrant rally at Sani Bello Hall in Mubi, which coincided with Bello’s homecoming and year-end birthday celebrations.
In a statement personally signed by her, Bello described the overwhelming support as both “deeply emotional and motivating.”
A Promise to Deliver Real Change
Bello expressed heartfelt gratitude to her supporters, saying,
“I am sincerely humbled by the overwhelming expression of confidence from our people across Mubi North, Mubi South, and Maiha.
Your encouragement strengthens my resolve to continue working for a constituency where every citizen feels seen, supported, and included.”
She assured residents that, if elected, her focus would be on attracting federal projects, restoring hope, and improving living standards across the constituency.
A History of Community Engagement
The calls for Bello’s candidacy, she noted, stem from years of consistent community engagement and humanitarian work.
Her initiatives have included support for farmers, women, youth groups, and vulnerable households.
These efforts, she emphasized, reflect her dedication to making tangible improvements in people’s lives.
Focus on Development and Security
Looking ahead, Bello outlined her priorities for the constituency: tackling unemployment, strengthening access to federal support programs, enhancing infrastructure, improving social services, and addressing security concerns affecting residents.
She stressed that the trust placed in her by the people would inspire diligent service to bring meaningful development.
“Your confidence in me strengthens my resolve to serve this constituency diligently and bring the development our people deserve,” Bello added.
Empowering Women Through Partnership
Bello also recognized the contribution of Dr. Martina Yilwatda, the wife of the APC National Chairman and Matron of the Women Leaders Support Advancement group.
Through a collaboration with the Ramat Foundation, Dr. Yilwatda helped empower 100 women petty traders, providing each with ₦50,000 to boost their businesses.
Bello described such partnerships as vital in promoting economic empowerment and community growth.
