Joe E. Tata, who played Nat Bussichio, proprietor of the Peach Pit restaurant on the teen drama “Beverly Hills, 90210,” has passed away. He was 85.

His daughter, Kelly Katherine Tata, revealed her father’s passing on her GoFundMe page on Thursday. She earlier said that in 2018, her father was given an Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis.

The leftover monies from the campaign would be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, stated Tata’s daughter, adding, “My father and I are eternally thankful for the love and support of family, friends, and fans.” Tata was “honest, caring, and a very amazing parent,” according to her.

A “90210” actor named Ian Ziering praised Tata as “one of the happiest guys I’ve ever worked with” in a social media post.

Tata was “generous with his knowledge as he was with his compassion,” the man said.

Tata had television appearances in programs including “Lost in Space,” “The Rockford Files,” “Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.,” and the first two seasons of “Batman.” However, he was most known for the part he played on the successful television series “Beverly Hills, 90210” for all 10 seasons.

In the spin-off series “90210,” which ran on the CW network from 2008 to 2013, Tata resumed the Nat Bussichio character.
