At the monarch’s funeral on Monday at Westminster Abbey, Kate Middleton honoured the late monarch by wearing some of her jewels.

The Four-Row Japanese Pearl Choker, Kate’s four-strand pearl necklace with a diamond clasp, was a gift from Japan to the Queen in the 1970s, according to Yahoo! News. In Bangladesh in 1983, the Queen was seen wearing the necklace in photographs.

Kate donned a black coatdress, a veiled wide-brim hat, pearl earrings, and the ancestral necklace.

The Princess of Wales wore the same necklace during Prince Philip’s burial in 2021 and to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s 70th wedding anniversary dinner at Windsor Castle in 2017.
