Kate leaves Windsor for Balmoral

While the royal family travels to Balmoral to be at the Queen’s bedside, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, has stayed in Windsor.

In response to rising worries about the Queen’s health, Prince William hurried to Scotland, but Kate remained at Adelaide Cottage and was seen leaving Windsor Castle this afternoon to pick up the kids from school.

Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, attended Lambrook School for the first time today.

Five members of the family came together yesterday for a “settling-in” afternoon.

This morning, happy pictures of the family entering hand in hand were published. However, Kate was the only one doing the school run today.

The Duchess of Cambridge has stayed in Windsor while Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are attending their first full day of school, according to a statement from Kensington Palace.

As physicians expressed their “worry” for the Queen’s health, the Duke of Cambridge joined Prince Charles and other members of the immediate family at her bedside.

The Queen, 96, was assessed by her physicians this morning, hours after she was advised to rest rather than attend a Privy Council meeting last night. She remains under medical monitoring but is described as “comfortable.”

‘Following additional assessment this morning, The Queen’s physicians are concerned about Her Majesty’s health and have advised she stay under medical monitoring,’ a royal spokesman said. The Queen is still relaxed and in Balmoral.

The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, has already arrived at the palace after an engagement in Scotland this week, and the Queen’s children are all racing there as well.

With one of the Royal Family’s helicopters seen arriving in the grounds this afternoon, it is believed that the Duke of York and the Earl and Countess of Wessex are also on their way.

As millions of Britons and Her Majesty’s subjects around the world pray for her recovery, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have abruptly changed their plans and are now going to Aberdeenshire, according to their spokesman.

The couple was originally going to attend the WellChild Awards in London this evening.

Last Saturday, Kate and William relocated to Windsor’s four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage in order to be nearer to their kids’ new school at Ascot.

In an effort to prioritise their children and offer them more independence, the Duke and Duchess are starting a new life in the country away from the goldfish bowl of their official London house, Kensington Palace.

The distance from their new house to the £7,000-per-term Lambrook School in Berkshire is just nine miles, or 20 minutes.

The three kids were pleased when they met headmaster Jonathan Perry yesterday since it would be the first time they are all attending the same school.
