Animal Rebellion is criticized for dumping MILK on Harrods’ low-wage staff

Vegan campaigners have been chastised for inflicting harm on ‘poorer employees’ after spilling milk on the floor of Harrods.

In a protest against the dairy business, Animal Rebellion, an offshoot of Extinction Rebellion, spilled milk out of containers. ‘Why do you idiots constantly cause difficulties for the working classes but never for your own?’ remarked another.

Travis Wester, an American actor, was also engaged in the internet response, telling Animal Rebellion, “the next time you want to virtue signal with perfectly delicious food, I propose you feed the poor.”

 

The trio is shown in the video strolling up to the milk aisle of Harrods’ Food Hall before emptying the milk out of the cartons one by one onto the floor. Members of the group object to security removing them, and it takes several individuals to forcibly remove the activists from the shop.

‘We took this action at Harrods to say that we won’t stand by while unsustainable, harmful businesses wreak havoc on people throughout the world,’ said Beau King Houston, one of the protesters.

 

‘Harrods is a metaphor of the flawed system in which we live.

 

‘A system that overlooks everyone’s needs and prosperity in favor of politicians and their business associates, but they might also be part of the transition to a better future.’

 

At the time of the demonstration, a Harrods representative informed the Standard, ‘We are aware that five persons conducted a little protest yesterday in the Harrods Food Halls.’

 

‘The people were quickly led out of the business, and no further action was taken,’ said the officer.
