The Commission states that every teacher hired will have a permanent position with a pension.

Before July 7, 2022, “eligible and interested applicants should submit their applications online through the Teachers Service Commission’s website, www.tsc.go.ke under ‘Careers,'” the Commission advised.

The government’s aim of achieving a 100 percent transition of students from primary to secondary schools and the current teacher shortage will be supported by the breakdown’s 5, 000 teaching vacancies.

A total of 5,000 positions are open, of which 3, 972 will be filled in secondary schools, 28 in teacher preparation programs, and 1,000 are designated for elementary school instructors.

By July 15, 2022, the Teachers Service Commission website will post the list of shortlisted applicants, interview times, and locations.

Additionally, the Commission has announced 8, 230 vacancies to replace teachers who left the profession due to attrition. There will be 1, 691 posts for high schools and 6, 539 posts for primary schools.

According to the legislation and the norms of the constitution, the Teachers Service Commission is an equal opportunity employer, the Commission stated.

In order to fill the openings in the counties of Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera, the Commission has additionally re-advertised 844 positions for primary and secondary schools.

Those sought in this category must be residents of the aforementioned counties.

Additionally, the Commission has re-advertised 386 positions for teachers on contractual periods of employment in elementary and secondary schools in the counties of Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera.

The public has been warned to be on the lookout for con artists who will try to extort money under the guise of aiding with recruitment.
