In Mubi, Adamawa’s Chief Judge commissions a new High Court Two

The Chief Judge of Adamawa State, Justice Nathan Musa has commissioned a new High Court two in Mubi, Mubi Judicial Division.

This brings to two, the number of the High Courts in the area’s Judicial Division.

The High Court one is headed by a Judge, Justice Kenson Lawanson who serves as the administrative judge and is expected to among his adjudicating roles, receive file through the registrar of the Court and assign same amongst himself and his brother Judge.

Performing the commissioning ceremony, Justice Musa explained that the development was informed by his desire to ensuring speedy adjudication of litigation in the justice system.

He further revealed that his stern belief in ensuring that justice is served and brought closer to the people necessitated the appointment of am additional judge and creation of High Court Two in the Mubi Division.

The Chief Judge who went memory lane, recalled that prior to the creation of the Mubi High Court Division in twenty thirteen, all cases were handled by the Yola Division which adversely affected the timely dispensation of cases.

According to him, however, the creation of Mubi High Court has helped in addressing the challenge.

He by this development declared that henceforth, filing of cases would be done at each Division of the High Court, making it needless to travel to Yola for case filing.

The Chief Judge reaffirmed that justice is for everybody and must be made accessible, hence his resolve not to relent in finding ways of bringing justice closer to the common man.

The entourage later paid a courtesy call on the Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu after which the Chief Judge went and inspected the Chief Magistrate Court Two in Mubi.

Speaking in an interview, the presiding judge of High Court Two Mubi, Justice, Abbas Adamu Honbon pledged to disperse justice.

He assured of an uncompromising judicial system service delivery.

Corroborating, the new Administrative Judge who presides High Court Mubi One, Justice Kemson Lawanson who described new responsibility as confidence reposition, committed to dispensing justice to the litigants with regards to Court Cases.

Justice Lawanson who assured facilitation of justice to the common man declared that there will be preferential treatment in the course of his official function.
