Fire outbreak at Belvue Park, Northolt leaves a man dead

A man died after being discovered on fire in a park in West London, prompting police to initiate an immediate inquiry.

In the early hours of the morning, emergency personnel raced to the site of a body on fire in Belvue Park, Northolt, after receiving reports from the public.

The death is being handled as unexplained by Met Police, who announced the tragedy this morning.
There have been no arrests, but police are continuing their investigation to identify the deceased and contact their relatives.

‘Police were alerted to Belvue Park, Northolt, by the London Fire Brigade at 4.37 a.m. on Monday, June 13 to reports of a body found on fire,’ the force stated.

‘Officers are seeking to identify the deceased, who is thought to be a man at this time, and notify his family.’

‘At this time, the death is being treated as unexplained.’ No arrests have been made. The West Area Command Unit is in charge of the investigation, which is taking place at a crime scene.’

‘Firefighters were summoned to reports of a fire in a park on Rowdell Road in Northolt,’ the London Fire Brigade said in a statement.

‘Unfortunately, someone was pronounced dead on the scene.’

‘The Brigade was dispatched at 0419, and firefighters were able to leave by 0456. Northolt Fire Station dispatched one fire engine to the scene.

‘The Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service are investigating the cause of the fire.’
