Commissioner, staff celebrate retiring permanent secretary

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Engr. Olawale Agoro, was on Tuesday celebrated by the management staff of the Ministry at a surprise valedictory management meeting to mark his last day in office as he proceeds on retirement leave.Speaking at the ceremony, the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry, Arc. Kabiru Ahmed Abdullahi described Engr. Agoro, who will retire statutorily on the 17th of June – his 60th birthday, as a goal-getter, team player and an administrator per excellence.

The Commissioner disclosed that a lot was achieved in the last two years due to the cooperation and doggedness of the Permanent Secretary and prayed for his continued good health in retirement with abundant favour from God in his future endeavours.

Other speakers at the event also praised the retiring Permanent Secretary, declaring that Engr. Agoro will be sorely missed by the staff of the Ministry for his generosity, simplicity and forthrightness.

The high point of the brief farewell meeting was the presentation of a gift and cake to the Permanent Secretary by the Management Staff of the Ministry.
