Since having surgery on fractures to his lower right leg and subsequent injuries to his foot and ankle following a horrible car accident in Los Angeles on February 23, 2021, Woods has not competed in a top-level event.

As a result, the 46-year-old has dropped to 944th in the world rankings, although he is still eligible for the year’s first major as a five-time winner.

If Woods is unable to compete in the 86th Masters, he can attend the customary Champions Dinner and compete in the pre-event par-three contest on the Wednesday before the tournament.

The Masters will be held from April 7 to 10.
