Kaizer Chiefs blew a ‘golden’ opportunity to close the points gap to log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns when they lost to Golden Arrows at home on Saturday.
Amakhosi went down 1-0 at the FNB Stadium to remain 16 points behind Masandawana with three matches in hand.
Kaizer Chiefs have now played 20 of their 30 DStv Premiership matches this season and have 35 points thanks to 10 wins, five draws and five defeats.
The match against Golden Arrows was the seventh one (out of 20) in which Kaizer Chiefs have failed to score (35%).
The last time the Glamour Boys failed to score on more than seven occasions after the first 20 matches of a season was way back in their 2007/08 campaign (nine times).
