Vanuatu has withdrew from the Oceania World Cup qualification event in Qatar because to a Covid-19 outbreak, and will not be able to register a team.

Group B, which includes the All Whites of New Zealand, is still unaffected. Danny Hay’s side began their campaign with a 1-0 win over Papua New Guinea on Saturday [NZ time], while Fiji defeated New Caledonia 2-1.The Vanuatu Football Federation announced its withdrawal in a statement on its website on Saturday, after its team was unable to take the field for its first match, against Tahiti, when a majority of the players tested positive for Covid-19.
