Minister of Sports, Nathi Mthethwa has announced that

“All recognized men’s clubs as for this year 2022 will be required to have a female team in their set up in order to participate in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cups,” stated Mthethwa on KickOff.

All major clubs without female team must now create one.

That means, this year there will be trials for woman. With more clubs and schools having female team’s than ever before.

This is truly encouraging for all females who have a passion for the beautiful game. Football and sport is for everyone.

Mamelodi Sundowns are the only side in the PSL to have a registered female side and they won two successive trophies.
