Africa’s top rated Table Tennis star, Aruna Quadri moved to the round of 16 of the ongoing World Table Tennis Contender Series in Oman after a round of 32 Victory at the expense of Cederic Nuytinck.

The 11th rated player in the world defeated Belgium’s Nuytinck 3-2 (11-13, 11-9, 9-11, 11-9, 11-8) in the round of 32 at the Sultan Qaboos Sport Complex, Muscat, Oman.

Up next for the Nigerian is a round of 16 face off with Zhang Yudong of China.

The tie is scheduled to serve off at 19:10 GMT today, Thursday, March 3, 2022.

Senegal’s Ibrahima Diaw was beaten 3-1 by Zhou Qihao of China, while Egyptian Ahmed Saleh defeated Joao Monteiro 3-1 to also book a place in the last 16.
