Two more companies Oando PLC and Duke oil that appeared before the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Downstream to explain their role in the said importation of adulterated fuel into the country have denied any wrongdoing in the importation of PMS into the country.

They stated this while submitting all documents relating to the alleged imported adulterated fuel.

The Chief Operating Officer of Oando Plc, Mr Effanga Effanga said PMS cargo they supplied was online with all government contractual specifications
Mr Efanga explained that the current spectrum protocol does not include testing for methanol content.

This, according to him; “Was why the Methanol was not detected by the NNPC quality inspectors.

On his part, the Managing Director of Duke Oil, Lawal Sade, stated that the company has already quarantined the product it has imported to avoid any unforeseen circumstances.

A Member of the committee from Oyo State, Stanley Olajide however picked holes in the claims that the contractors followed all due process.

The committee adjourned sitting, promising to invite both men on a date yet to be announced after a thorough study of the documents they presented.
