Meghan Markle Faces Viewer Disappointment as Netflix Cooking Show With Love Meghan Fails to Enter Top 1,000 Rankings in the United States

Meghan Markle’s foray into streaming hasn’t gone quite as planned.

Despite heavy promotion and celebrity cameos, the Duchess of Sussex’s cooking and lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, has struggled to capture viewers on Netflix.

The streaming platform’s official viewing figures reveal that neither the second season nor her Christmas special managed to break into the top 1,000 most-watched shows.

Season Two Fails to Impress

Released in August 2025, With Love, Meghan’s second season was eagerly anticipated.

Meghan invited famous friends such as Chrissy Teigen and Tan France, sharing glimpses into her family life—like Archie and Lilibet’s favorite foods and colors, and how Prince Harry first said “I love you” on a safari trip in Botswana.

Despite this, Netflix viewers weren’t particularly engaged.

The second season ranked only 1,217th in the streaming giant’s list of top shows over the latter half of 2025.

By comparison, hits like Wednesday, Stranger Things, and Squid Game were streamed tens of millions of times in the same period.

The Holiday Special Underwhelms Critics and Viewers

Meghan’s Holiday Celebration special fared slightly better, coming in at 1,015 in the same rankings.

The festive episode featured her husband and celebrity friends enjoying a rented house for Christmas, sharing tips on gift-wrapping and holiday cooking. Still, it couldn’t compete with Netflix’s big hitters.

Critics were particularly harsh. The Daily Mail called it “syrupy hypocrisy,” while The Times described the celebrity interactions as “implausible and trite.”

On Rotten Tomatoes, the special garnered only a 23% approval rating. The show’s 56-minute runtime failed to impress reviewers, many of whom found the content numbing.

Season Three Remains Unlikely

Sources indicate that Netflix is unlikely to greenlight a third season of With Love, Meghan.

An insider told Page Six, “It’s not returning as a series. There have been conversations about holiday specials, but there’s nothing in the works yet.”

Meghan, however, remains hopeful about producing smaller, seasonal specials, including potential July 4 and Valentine’s Day episodes.

The Sussexes have a “first look” deal with Netflix, which gives the platform priority on any new content before they can shop it elsewhere.

Pivoting Toward Social Media and Lifestyle Projects

Even as her Netflix presence wanes, Meghan is turning to her large Instagram following to share bite-sized lifestyle and cooking content.

Sources suggest her posts will offer similar tips and recipes as her show but in a more digestible format.

There’s also talk of a potential cookbook, giving fans another avenue to engage with her brand.

Celebrity Guests and Family Moments

Across both seasons, Meghan invited top chefs like José Andrés, Roy Choi, and Alice Waters, alongside friends including Mindy Kaling and Chrissy Teigen.

She opened up about her love story with Prince Harry, recounting their third date in Botswana as the moment she realized she was falling in love.

While Harry made brief appearances in series one, and the children occasionally visited the set, the family largely remained behind the scenes.

Meghan emphasized that she avoided filming in their Montecito home to protect the family’s privacy.

What’s Next for Meghan Markle’s Media Ventures?

Despite disappointing ratings on Netflix, Meghan continues to explore ways to engage her audience, leaning into lifestyle content, celebrity collaborations, and holiday-themed specials.

Whether viewers will tune in more eagerly for shorter, social-media-driven content or a potential cookbook remains to be seen.
