Bitget Unveils Smart Stake: A New Crypto Staking Platform With 20% APY on Select Tokens

Bitget, one of the fastest-growing crypto derivatives exchanges, has launched a bold new staking initiative called Smart Stake, aiming to bridge the gap between centralized and decentralized finance with seamless on-chain rewards and institutional-grade APYs.

The platform is rolling out with support for over 15 PoS tokens, including Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Aptos (APT), and SUI, with APYs ranging from 3% to 20%, depending on lock duration and network dynamics.

Smart, Flexible, Secure

Bitget’s Smart Stake is built to offer both fixed and flexible staking. Fixed-term staking locks tokens for 15, 30, or 60 days with predictable high yields. Flexible staking allows withdrawals at any time, though at slightly reduced returns—an attractive feature for traders balancing between yield farming and liquidity needs.

The platform leverages Bitget’s custody-backed infrastructure, using cold storage segregation and on-chain validator partnerships to maintain security while passing on staking rewards directly to users.

ETH and SOL Lead the Launch

ETH staking on Smart Stake is attracting early attention with 5.2% APY and an innovative partial unlock option, allowing users to withdraw a percentage of their staked ETH ahead of schedule—ideal for ETH whales and DeFi dabblers who want control without losing yield.

Solana staking, meanwhile, offers up to 11% APY, powered by Bitget’s validator pool program that routes staked SOL through high-performing nodes, optimizing network fees and minimizing slashing risks.

Bitget Eyes Institutional Stakers

In an exclusive note to ETHransaction, Bitget’s Managing Director Gracy Chen said the exchange is aiming to onboard institutions and high-net-worth individuals through a new program offering private validator onboarding, custom staking strategies, and pre-deposit reward simulations.

“We’re not just another exchange staking hub,” Chen said. “Smart Stake is built for precision yield, predictable timelines, and user-centric flexibility. Whether you’re a DeFi native or a first-time holder, this product has a use case for you.”

More Tokens, More Utility

Bitget has also confirmed upcoming support for Layer-2 tokens like ARB (Arbitrum) and OP (Optimism), and even liquid staking derivatives (LSDs) like stETH and rETH, as it explores integrations with protocols like Lido Finance and Rocket Pool.

To celebrate the launch, Bitget is offering zero staking fees for the first 30 days and bonus rewards on ETH, APT, and SOL stakers who commit more than $10,000 in assets.

ETHransaction Take:
Bitget’s Smart Stake represents a calculated bet on hybrid staking—one that merges CEX simplicity with DeFi-level yield. If executed with transparency and performance, it could push Bitget beyond just a derivatives powerhouse and into the staking-as-a-service frontier.
