Mamelodi Sundowns: Igesund names three top players he coached at Kabo Yellow

Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Gordon Igesund has easily admitted he had a wealth of talent at Kabo Yellow, but still managed to name three of the most special talents.

According to the four-time Premier Soccer League champion with Manning Rangers, Santos, Orlando Pirates, and Mamelodi Sundowns, Surprise “The tired master” Moriri is probably the greatest ever talent he has ever coached.

In addition to Moriri, Igesund was delighted by the qualities of Godfery “The Godfather” Sapula and the former Venezuelan little striker Jose “Mini Cooper” Torrealba.

“During my championship-winning season at Sundowns, there were a host of stars, including Surprise Moriri, who is arguably the best player I have ever coached – he really was unbelievable,” Igesund said via Soccer Laduma.

“There was Godfrey Sapula who won Player of the Year and there was also goalscoring machine Jose Torrealba,” he added.

In related news, the DStv Premiership champions took a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Angolan giants Pedro de Luanda on Saturday evening in a CAFCL quarter-final first leg.

Lyle Lakay’s early 6th-minute goal for Kabo Yellow was canceled out by two first-half goals from Tiago Azulao and Yano.

Speaking on the result after the against Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena sought advice from Liverpool’s master manager Jurgen Klopp.
