The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC Nigeria, debunked media reports on fake notice informing corps members of 2022 Batch ‘A’ Corps members on relocation that they have between 11th to 18th April, 2022 to conclude documentation for their places of Primary Assignment.

According to a statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations of the organization, Mr Eddy Megwa “We wish to note that the badly written text  did not emanate from the Scheme. It is the handiwork of fraudsters bent on tarnishing the image of the Scheme.

“The general public and Corps Members should please note that relocation of Corps Members and posting to places of Primary Assignment is free of charge and must not be paid for any reason.”

He also advised Corps Members to ignore the notice written on fake NYSC letterhead and signed by a NATIONAL COORDINATOR, a designation that is not in existence  in the Scheme. This is a calculated attempt by fraudsters to dupe unsuspecting corps members.

Mr. Megwa therefore advised the general public to be properly guided and “please note that authentic information from the NYSC can be accessed from NYSC formations nationwide, social media accounts and NYSC Radio and Television.”
