Jennifer Lopez spends Thanksgiving decorating a massive Christmas tree and cooking a full feast inside her unsold Bel Air mansion in California

Jennifer Lopez kept her Thanksgiving close to home this year — literally.

She spent the holiday inside the enormous Bel Air estate she once shared with Ben Affleck, the same property the former couple has been trying (and failing) to offload.

The house, once listed at a staggering $68 million, has been marked down to $52 million, though it still hasn’t found a buyer.

Holiday Moments With Family

Lopez didn’t let the real estate limbo weigh down her day.

Instead, she focused on time with her 17-year-old child, Emme.

The two were spotted together checking on chocolate cakes in the oven, making sure they came out just right.

The pop icon, now 56, shared a cozy Thanksgiving photo diary online, giving fans a peek into her holiday world.

Decorating, Cooking, and a Whole Lot of Festive Flair

Among the images was a charming shot of Lopez placing an ornament on a towering Christmas tree — the kind only professionals seem to pull off so flawlessly.

She wore a simple apron over a soft beige dress, posing proudly next to a perfectly roasted turkey.

Her caption was pure J.Lo:
These are a few of my favorite things… Happy Thanksgiving everybody I hope you all had a beautiful day!

The feast spread across the table looked magazine-ready: stuffing, turkey, mashed potatoes (in two varieties, no less), multiple pies, and a coffee cake.

And while she didn’t tag the chef, the tattooed arms glimpsed in the kitchen made it pretty clear she had culinary backup.

From India to California in One Day

What made the whole scene even more remarkable was how quickly Lopez turned around from a major international performance.

Just hours before touching down in Bel Air, she’d been flying home from India after performing at the lavish wedding of Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju in Udaipur.

On her private jet, she posted a grateful message:
Above the clouds today.

Feeling so grateful… Thank you God for this beautiful day, this beautiful year. Headed home, yay!

Calling It a “Beautiful Year” Despite Personal Turbulence

Her optimism came despite a year filled with emotional and professional bumps.

In February, Lopez finalized her divorce from Ben Affleck, ending their marriage in under three years.

Professionally, two of her films struggled at the box office — Unstoppable opened with less than $4,000 before moving to streaming, and The Kiss of the Spider Woman didn’t manage to recoup its sizeable $30 million budget.

A Notable Absence in Her Photos

Sharp-eyed fans noticed her son, Maximilian, was missing from the Thanksgiving photos.

Max, also 17 and Emme’s twin, tends to avoid the spotlight.

Emme, by contrast, has performed with their mother several times — including on the Limitless track and both her tour and the Super Bowl LIV halftime show.

Looking Ahead to Las Vegas

Lopez isn’t slowing down. She’s gearing up for a 12-date Las Vegas residency — Up All Night Live — set to kick off December 30 at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum.

Despite long-standing industry chatter about her reliance on other vocalists early in her recording career, she remains one of the highest-selling pop acts of her generation.

Over 80 million records sold, 15 billion streams, and more than 18 billion video views speak for themselves.

A Busy Film Slate and More Producing Work

On the acting front, she has multiple projects lined up, including Office Romance, a Netflix-bound rom-com co-starring Brett Goldstein, and The Last Mrs. Parrish, a thriller directed by Robert Zemeckis.

She’s also producing an upcoming Bob the Builder film for Amazon MGM Studios.

A Career That Keeps Evolving

It’s been a long journey from her days as a Fly Girl on In Living Color in the early ’90s to becoming a global superstar with credits across music, film, fashion, and business.

Even with personal ups and downs, Lopez seems determined to keep pushing forward — and to keep sharing little glimpses of her life, whether she’s soaring over India or baking cakes with her kids in Bel Air.
