Sometimes it takes a moment of real discomfort to spark a big change.

For 31-year-old George Keywood, that moment came when simply climbing the stairs left him winded—and the reality of becoming pre-diabetic began to sink in.

Today, George is six stone lighter, walking with ease, and playing with his son in ways he couldn’t before.

But his transformation hasn’t come without criticism.

Tired of the Stairs and Sugar Crashes

Living in London and working as an actor and content creator, George wasn’t always worried about his weight.

He admits he had been overweight his entire life and surprisingly managed to avoid bullying.

But things caught up. Drinking up to five cans of full-fat Coca-Cola a day and devouring entire pizzas at night, his energy was gone, his feet were swollen, and his health was heading in the wrong direction.

By last year, he knew something had to change.

He felt sluggish, struggled with pre-diabetes, and could barely handle daily tasks without getting exhausted.

That’s when he found Mounjaro, a weight-loss drug that turned things around for him—quite literally.

Starting Mounjaro and Seeing Results

George began taking Mounjaro in August 2024, starting on a 2.5mg dose from a private online pharmacy that gave him the medication for free. He gradually increased the dosage to 12.5mg, and within weeks, the pounds started to drop.

He lost around two pounds a week, and eventually dropped six stone (84 pounds) in just 11 months.

His sugar cravings vanished, and for five days out of seven, he says he barely even thinks about food.

A New Routine and a New Lifestyle

George’s eating habits have changed drastically.

These days, he often skips breakfast, grabs a simple sandwich and crisps for lunch, and sometimes even skips dinner.

He used to eat:

  • Breakfast: Scrambled eggs on toast with cheese and a litre of milk

  • Lunch: Sandwich with crisps and a Coca-Cola

  • Dinner: Entire pizza, garlic bread, and another Coke

  • Snacks: Crisps and chocolate throughout the day

Now, that’s all changed. He might only eat one main meal a day, rarely snacks, and drinks only one Coke per week.

Social Media Praise… and the Trolls

While George has received plenty of online support, he’s also faced a fair amount of backlash.

Trolls call him “lazy” or say he’s “cheating” by relying on medication.

But George has a pretty level-headed response: “You can’t win.

I got trolled when I was heavier, and now people say I took the easy way out.

But I’m doing this for me—not for them.”

He posted about his progress on Facebook recently and says, “All the comments were positive. That meant a lot.”

A New Lease on Family Life

George’s weight loss hasn’t just improved his health—it’s transformed his family life.

His wife, Sienna, whom he met after she spotted him on the BBC Three comedy People Just Do Nothing, is fully behind the change.

Before the weight loss, she says she was often left handling everything, especially with their five-year-old son, Oliver.

“It felt like I had to do pretty much everything,” she shared. “I’d be lugging Oliver around Peppa Pig World while George trailed behind, absolutely miserable.”

Now? “He’s active, he can walk all day, and he takes Oliver on days out.

The tables have totally turned. He’s just happier, and that’s made a huge difference for all of us.”

Not Just About Looks—It’s About Longevity

Despite having no serious health scares in the past, George says his motivation now is long-term health.

“You don’t see fat people in care homes,” he joked. But the sentiment is serious: he wants to live to 70 or 80 and watch his son grow up.

“My feet used to be so swollen I couldn’t wear shoes. Now they’re completely fine,” he said.

“Mounjaro turned off that constant hunger I used to feel. It doesn’t make you sick, it just quiets the cravings.

It’s helped me control the eating I used to struggle with every single day.”

What’s Next for George?

George hopes to lose another 40kg (about 88 pounds) in the next nine months, and he’s giving himself a two-year cap on using Mounjaro.

“I think these changes can last longer than people expect.

I don’t want to be on it forever. I want to build new habits.”

As for what he says to the critics? He shrugs them off. “There’s always a reason for people to hate.

But this is about being here for my kid and living a full life. I’m finally doing that—and that’s what matters.”
