Kadence Frederickson, the former Miss Okaloosa County Teen USA, lost her life in a crash on a Florida highway.
The accident occurred on Monday, February 17, 2025, and she was confirmed as the victim just a day later.
The Details of the Accident

The truck was being driven by a 56-year-old man.

A Heartfelt Charity
Frederickson was more than just a beauty queen.
She was deeply involved in charity work through her initiative, “Kada’s Promise.
” This program, which she founded in 2017, aimed to provide comfort to children in foster care, homeless shelters, and hospitals.
She often shared how her personal struggles with homelessness and abuse as a child motivated her to help others in need.
She spoke about her experience in an interview in 2019, explaining how she was taken in by her father and adoptive mother after enduring difficult times.
“During many dark times in my early childhood, the only thing that I could call my own or that made me feel safe was a single teddy bear that I received as a gift,” she shared.
“It is from these memories that Kada’s Promise was born.”
Remembering Kadence Frederickson
Kadence was also a senior at Baker School, and her passing has deeply impacted her community.
In a statement, the school expressed its sorrow and support for her family and friends.
“Please keep the family, the town, and the school in your thoughts as they will all miss and grieve this young lady,” the school said.
The institution has made counselors and mental health professionals available to students in light of the tragedy.
Beauty Queen with a Big Heart
In addition to her charity work, Frederickson was a well-known face in the pageant world.
She had competed in various pageants, including winning titles like Little Miss Northwest Florida in 2017, and more recently, she competed in the Miss Teen Florida competition.
Her efforts were not limited to her local community; she also raised $25,000 for the Ronald McDonald House, an organization dedicated to supporting families of seriously ill children.
Frederickson’s compassion was clear in everything she did.
Reflecting on her personal struggles, she explained, “When I was little, I was abused and neglected by my biological mother and stepfather. During those times, the only thing I had to call my own was a stuffed animal I received as a gift years beforehand.
Now that I’m in a safe home with a safe family, I learned I wasn’t the only kid that went through that.”
Her legacy of kindness and dedication to helping others will not be forgotten.
