He even came agonizingly close to a second goal when his shot hit the crossbar and later almost scored from the halfway line after dancing around Walker once again.
Milan’s Reaction and the Road Ahead
Milan defender Walker was quick to acknowledge Paixao’s brilliance and suggested that the team would need to adjust their approach in the return leg if they hoped to progress to the last-16.
“We have to recover first in the championship and then adjust our strategy for the return leg,” Walker said.
“The crowd in Rotterdam was incredible, but it’s clear we’ll need a different game plan to overcome Feyenoord.”
