Former Generations: The Legacy star Muzi Mthabela is stepping into a fresh role on Mzansi Wethu’s upcoming drama, Sibongile & The Dlaminis.

Muzi Mthabela’s New Role

According to TVSA, Muzi Mthabela will portray Mxolisi Xaba in the show.

Mxolisi is a widower looking to start anew after the loss of his wife.

As he navigates his new chapter, he might find himself developing feelings for Nomfundo, played by Xoli Zondi.

Nomfundo, who heads the domestic staff at the Dlamini home, has been entangled in a complicated relationship with her married partner, Njengaye, portrayed by Siyabonga Shibe.

New Additions to the Cast

In addition to Mthabela, the show will feature Thembi Mtshali-Jones as Nengelosi Nolwazi Shange, with her daughter Phetheni being played by Ayanda Borotho.

Zimoja reported that Mtshali-Jones has already started filming her scenes.

Thembi Mtshali-Jones joins a growing list of stars, including Baby Cele, who plays Deliwe’s sister.

Mzansi Magic was contacted for comments on September 10th regarding these new developments.

Slindile Nodangala Bids Farewell

In other news, Mzansi Wethu has announced the departure of Slindile Nodangala, who played Deliwe Mbambo.

The channel shared on X: “We say goodbye to Slindile Nodangala, who portrayed Deliwe Mbambo in the first season of Sibongile & The Dlaminis.

As the storyline evolves and new characters join, Deliwe’s arc concludes.

Nodangala’s performance was both compelling and polarizing, making her a memorable part of the show.”

Nodangala’s exit follows Luyanda Zwane’s departure, who previously played the original Sibongile Mbambo.

Despite these changes, the show continues to capture audiences, with the Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa reporting 1.3 million viewers in June and July.
