40 years and counting! Rock band Foreigner announces two SA shows

After more than 40 years in the music industry, Foreigner still rocks the music charts. Some of their biggest hits include Juke Box Hero, Cold As Ice, Hot Blooded, Waiting For A Girl Like You, Dirty White Boy and Head Games.

The award-winning rock band amasses over 15 million audio and video streams a week. The band has more top 10 songs than Journey and features in every category on Billboard’s “Greatest of All Time” lists.

With his stylistic songwriting and multi-layered talent, the band’s founder, Mick James, has taken the band to exceptional heights.

Foreigner is set to make their way to Mzansi in October for two performances.

The lineup includes Kelly Hansen on vocals, Jeff Pilson on bass, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, Bruce Watson and Luis Carlos Maldonado on guitar and Chris Frazier on drums.

An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to Foreigner’s enduring popularity.

Foreigner will be performing in Pretoria at the SunBet Arena in Time Square on Sunday 9 October. Their Cape Town performance will be on Tuesday 11 October at Grand Arena in GrandWest.

Ticket sales open on Friday 1 April but the Discovery Bank pre-sale begins on Wednesday 30 March at 09:00 and runs until 1 April.
