While looking into an alleged case of abduction and torture in a small village, a police canine by the name of Quincy discovered a secret subterranean bunker full with weaponry.

On Sunday, Quincy came onto a hidden bunker on a sugarcane plantation in Far North Queensland after a local guy admitted himself to the hospital with significant head injuries and an accusation of kidnapping.

According to Queensland Police, the 28-year-old male went to a house on Chettle Road to meet a friend who was 27 years old.

However, the 27-year-old and a 37-year-old guy who were reportedly carrying firearms greeted the man when he arrived.

The guy claims that one of the suspected gunmen struck him in the head with a firearm after forcing him into a car and tying him up.

Before letting the guy go, the two men reportedly stole his wallet and wrecked his vehicle.

The 28-year-old drove himself to the hospital in Atherton, where he received medical attention for his wounds and informed authorities of the alleged abduction.

Later on same day, police came to the property and detained the two guys, ages 27 and 37.

As a member of the team that searched the property following the arrests, Quincy discovered the bunker that was stuffed to the gills with weaponry.

In addition to the 28-year-allegedly old’s stolen property, police discovered 27 weapons, “thousands of rounds of ammunition,” jewellery, watches, cannabis, and methylamphetamine.

The 27-year-old male was accused with two charges of narcotics possession as well as one count each of armed robbery, deprivation of liberty, torture, assault causing bodily injury, and wilful destruction.

The 37-year-old man was accused of two counts of causing great bodily harm, one count each of armed robbery, deprivation of liberty, torture, assault resulting in great bodily harm, unlawful possession of a weapon, threatening violence with a firearm, and willful damage, as well as two counts of acts intended to cause great bodily harm.

Both guys are still being held and are scheduled to return to court on November 11.

Police are still looking into the found weapons.
