The attack on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Gombe state, as well as the property of a prominent party member, has drawn the attention of the opposition.
According to Legit.ng, PDP national publicity secretary Debo Ologunagba vehemently condemned the arson by hoodlums suspected of working for the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday (APC).
Ologunagba described the attack on his office as cowardly, criminal, and a huge danger to Nigeria’s democracy, national security, and peaceful coexistence in a statement posted on Facebook.
He continued by claiming that the APC in Gombe state is in disarray and panicked because it is rapidly disintegrating due to the mass desertion of its prominent members.
While urging the people of Gombe to remain calm and united, the PDP also demanded that the police chief track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
