2023 Election: Former Governor of Kano State seeks support for NNPP

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, has asked for support for the New Nigeria People’s Party, or NNPP, in the general elections of 2023.

Mr. Kwankwaso, speaking to journalists in Abuja, Nigeria, praised the turnout at the party’s just concluded membership registration campaign and convention.

“Nigerians are unhappy with the current state of affairs in the country and are demanding change,” he stated, lamenting the country’s insecurity.

Mr. Kwankwaso claims that his new party, the NNPP, has a philosophy and ideology that will help Nigerians overcome the country’s poorly managed economy and security condition.

Nigerians, he claims, want a genuine shift from the status quo.

He went on to say that the general election in 2023 will be a contest between people who want change in the country’s affairs and those who want to keep things the same.

“The election in 2023 will be a choice between those who are satisfied with the status quo and those who desire change.

“What is happening does not make us happy or pleased, and we want to alter it.” “Everyone understands the system isn’t working,” he remarked.

He stated that he would publicly declare his candidacy for President early next week after concluding consultations on his future political ambitions.

“I’ve been consulting a lot of friends and Nigerians with a variety of interests, and the results have been positive.” I plan to notify Nigerians about my political ambitions as soon as possible.
