2018 Standard Civil Contract will allow early asylum invoicing

The 2018 Standard Civil Contract will change starting on September 1, 2022, to enable for early billing for asylum-related proceedings.

From September 1, 2022, providers may submit claims for the usual charge before the case has been resolved.

This is made feasible by modifications to the 2018 Standard Civil Contract’s immigration and asylum stipulation.

Following discussions with your representative bodies, the amendments were made.

This will only apply to work completed under the asylum standard fee system that satisfies the specification’s requirements.
