13 vehicles collision on N2 South Bound at Esperanza leaves 19 people injured

The Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service called to the N2 South Bound at Esperanza this afternoon for reports of a collision.

When emergency services arrived, they discovered that 13 vehicles had collided.

Paramedics arrived on the scene promptly and found that 19 patients had suffered injuries ranging from serious to minor.

The patients were treated on the scene before being sent to the hospital for further care.

According to on-scene reports, heavy smoke from a grass fire reduced viability, resulting in the crash.

Recovery services are currently clearing the road.
