Festivals are known for music, mud, and unexpected bonding—and this weekend at Glastonbury, Zara McDermott officially joined the Tomlinson inner circle, sealing her relationship with Louis Tomlinson with a sisterly hug from his younger sibling, Lottie.
Zara, 28, and Louis, 33, have been an item since March, just weeks after Zara ended her five-year relationship with Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson.
The pair have already been making memories around the world, from sunny Costa Rica to starry Los Angeles, but now, Zara is making connections closer to home—with Louis’ family.
Lottie and Zara Click Instantly
Lottie, Louis’ 26-year-old sister and a popular makeup artist, shared a bunch of snaps from the festival, including a sweet photo of her and Zara wrapped in each other’s arms at Worthy Farm.
Zara, with an arm around Lottie’s waist, looked right at home—and fans couldn’t get enough.
Instagram comments poured in with excitement:
“YOU AND ZARA OMG!”
“You and Zara are my favourite duo!”
“When siblings and partners get along, it just hits different.”
Safe to say, people are loving the idea of a Lottie and Zara friendship as much as the romance with Louis.
A Family Affair with a Side of Party
Also spotted at Glastonbury was Lottie’s fiancé Lewis Burton, and of course, Louis himself, who couldn’t resist photobombing the couple’s romantic moment.
But while Zara was mingling with the family, she wasn’t camping out like the rest of them.
Louis, it turns out, has taken the whole festival thing to another level—reportedly setting up a special tent just for drinks.
According to The Mirror, Louis planned the whole weekend meticulously, including making sure the alcohol supply was solid.
Though Zara stayed off-site, the weekend was also a chance for her to meet more of his friends.
Keeping It Low-Key in Somerset
The couple was seen strolling hand-in-hand through the festival grounds on Thursday, dressed casually for the summer sun.
Louis opted for a football-themed shirt and cargo pants, while Zara rocked a sporty black Adidas top and slick ponytail.
Though Louis was earlier spotted enjoying a lads-only smoke session, he later turned up to support Zara during her appearance on a Refuge panel titled How to Create Societal Change: Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls—a moment that showcased their shared commitment to important causes.
Zara Reflects on Life After Sam Thompson
Zara recently spoke for the first time about her split from Sam Thompson, describing the constant speculation and drama as “frustrating.”
Despite the public nature of their five-year relationship—and that awkward reunion between Louis and Sam at Soccer Aid—Zara seems ready to leave the noise behind.
She told The Sun:
“The only thing in my life worth writing about is the work I do.”
Priorities Shift for the Former Love Island Star
Zara also admitted she’s pulled back from social media and is much more grounded these days.
“I don’t care about Instagram like I used to.
What matters now is real relationships, real support, and showing up for the people around me.”
She’s not the same girl who entered the spotlight at 21.
Her life may look glamorous from the outside, but she insists it’s far more down-to-earth behind the scenes.
Moving On, New Beginnings for Both
While Zara found happiness with Louis in March, Sam moved on too—briefly dating Love Island’s Samie Elishi before they split earlier this month.
As for Zara, her focus is clear: she’s embracing love, new family ties, meaningful work, and leaving the drama where it belongs—in the past.
