What was supposed to be an exciting weekend for content creators and fans at the British Grand Prix turned into an unexpected legal ordeal for YouTuber and Soccer Aid star AngryGinge.

Known off-screen as Morgan Burtwistle, the popular streamer found himself at the center of a bizarre incident involving a classic F1 car—and ended up spending the night in a police cell.

The Incident That Sparked It All

The drama unfolded on Friday at Silverstone during a fan event ahead of the British Grand Prix.

AngryGinge, along with fellow streamers Chazza and SamHam, were accused of causing around £30,000 worth of damage to a vintage Formula 1 car on display—reportedly a BWT Racing Point model. Authorities say someone climbed into the vehicle, leading to the alleged damage.

Police Take Action After Reports of Damage

Northamptonshire Police confirmed that they received a report about the incident and launched an investigation.

Officers tracked down the three men—aged 23, 25, and 27—and arrested them on suspicion of criminal damage.

All three were taken into custody and questioned, but after a detailed inquiry, they were released without any further action.

AngryGinge Tells His Side on TikTok

After being released, AngryGinge wasted no time sharing his version of events with his followers.

In a candid TikTok video, he explained the group didn’t break or vandalize anything intentionally and suggested the whole arrest was overblown.

“For sitting in a car, they got us,” he said. “They locked SamHam up for watching someone else sit in a car.

They tried to say 30 grand worth of damage… It was ridiculous.”

A Bit of Banter Behind Bars

He didn’t hold back when describing his time in the cell either—sharing that he was offered Pot Noodles and joked about his grimy toilet situation.

At one point, he thought he was finally going to be interviewed, only to be told he was free to go without any charges or questioning.

“I’ve just spent 15 hours in a concrete block,” he said. “Then they go, ‘you’re free to go, no further action.’ Mad.”

What Really Happened With the Car?

While the full details of what happened to the F1 car are still murky, a video circulating online shows Chazza approaching the display just before a loud snapping sound is heard.

AngryGinge can be heard saying, “I think the suspension on the car has just gone.” Despite the drama, all three de

nied intentionally damaging anything.

From Lockup to the Pitch: AngryGinge’s Soccer Aid Highlight

This isn’t the first time Morgan Burtwistle has been in the spotlight. Just weeks earlier, he starred in the annual Soccer Aid charity match at Old Trafford, where he was named Man of the Match.

A lifelong Manchester United fan, he threw himself into a tackle on none other than Carlos Tevez—and came away with a nasty cut to prove it.

Still Joking About It All

Afterwards, AngryGinge shared a photo of his injured leg on social media with the cheeky caption, “cheers Tevez, t***.”

He later took to Twitch to continue the banter, singing a parody of Zombie by the Cranberries directed at Tevez:

“In your head, in your head, Tevez, Tevez, Tevez-ez-ez…”

Though he couldn’t resist one last humble nod: “I will be honest, he did score four.”

No Charges, Just a Story to Tell

In the end, AngryGinge, Chazza, and SamHam walked away without charges but with a wild story and some extra attention online.

Whether or not sitting in a classic F1 car was worth the 15 hours in custody is up for debate—but one thing’s for sure, AngryGinge isn’t done sharing every moment of the ride with his fans.
