Across Africa, young innovators are driving exciting changes in digital health—from tech solutions and research breakthroughs to policy advocacy and public health programs.
The Youth Digital Health Champions (Y-DHC) program is designed to spotlight these trailblazers, connect them with peers, and empower them to shape the future of digital health on the continent.
This initiative aims to create a visible, influential network of young leaders who can inform policy, strengthen local innovation ecosystems, and inspire the next generation of digital health innovators.
Who Can Join
If you’re between 18 and 35 years old and passionate about digital health, you could be a perfect fit. The program welcomes:

African nationals or residents of any African Union member state. Africans living abroad are also eligible.

Individuals with proficiency in English, French, Arabic, or Portuguese, especially those who can engage across multiple languages.

Young leaders actively involved in digital health through:

Duration of Engagement
Selected Youth Champions will participate in the program for 12 months, with ongoing opportunities for growth and exposure throughout the year.
