Former Governor of Zamfara State and National Chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, his Excellency Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar, has dismissed media reports stating that he is sick and has been flown abroad in a wheelchair.
In a press state signed by his Chief of Staff, Abdullahi Abdulkarim Tsafe, he clarified that he had a dislocation on his left leg, which was treated two weeks ago and that he will travel to the United States for a medical check-up.
“There is news making the round ostensibly emanated from Sahara Reporters, that His Excellency, Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar has been flown to the United Kingdom, on a wheelchair for severe medical treatment.
“This is nothing but a chanting of an enemy and a blatant attack to send wrong information to the public and the teeming supporters of H.
E Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar home and abroad.
“As it is natural as humans to fall sick which needs not to be overblown for any reason.
Let us clarify that H.
E had a dislocation on his left leg when he missed steps on the staircase for which he travelled to the United States for treatment; from there, he came back last two weeks and has today left for a medical check-up, does not call for media hype,” the statement read.
He advised the public to disregard the report.
