This autumn, the World Bank is inviting innovative companies to co-create technologies that will transform how Ghana handles tax administration.

This is more than just a challenge—it’s an opportunity to gain global exposure, receive mentoring, and pilot your idea directly with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), supported by global experts and institutions in Switzerland.


Who Can Apply?

This program is looking for early-stage startups, scale-ups, and SMEs that meet these basic criteria:

  • Officially registered and legally incorporated

  • Fewer than 75 employees

  • Annual revenue under $5 million USD

  • Strong technical and operational capabilities relevant to tax systems and digital public services

  • Ready and able to engage actively throughout the challenge process

Submit Your Proposal
Explain your technical plan, how you’d implement it, and the potential impact your solution could have on Ghana’s tax systems.

Information Sessions
Join live Q&As with the Ghana Revenue Authority to better understand their goals and tech needs.

September 15 – 26

Pitch Your Idea
Present your concept to a diverse Selection Committee made up of reps from the World Bank, Swiss government, and tech partners from Geneva and Vaud.

October 3

Finalists Announced
The top 3 companies with the strongest proposals will move forward into the next phase.

December 2

Bootcamp & GovTech Conference
Finalists head to Switzerland for workshops, mentoring, and a chance to pitch their refined Proof of Concept live at the conference.

2026

Prototyping Begins
The selected teams will then implement pilot versions of their solutions with the Ghana Revenue Authority—turning ideas into action.
