A woman’s death was discovered in a flat, and her burned-out automobile was located an hour away in bushland, prompting a full-scale police inquiry.
Monday at 4.15 p.m., a woman notified police that she had discovered the body of a woman she knew in a unit on Colless Street, Penrith, in western Sydney.
The woman has not yet been formally named, although she is believed to be the unit’s 28-year-old resident.
The police believe that another individual visited the apartment prior to the woman who discovered the body.
The vehicle of the deceased woman was discovered in a wilderness area near Post Office road in Castlereagh, roughly 56 kilometers from the apartment.
The vehicle has been confiscated for forensic inspection.
A thorough search of the region was unable to locate the driver of the vehicle.
