Denise Frazier, a 19-year-old from Mississippi, is facing charges of unnatural intercourse and aggravated animal cruelty after allegedly engaging in sexual activities with a German Shepherd.
The incident was captured in a video that circulated on Snapchat in February.
Frazier has admitted to her involvement in the video but claims that she was forced to engage in the act.
She faces up to 10 years in prison if found guilty.
Frazier’s claim that she was forced to do it is being investigated, as no evidence has been found to support it.
According to court documents, Frazier said that she was threatened into it and that “people pay me to do it”.
The video was tagged as being shot in Myrick, but Frazier claims that it happened in Hattiesburg.
Two dogs were seized from her property during the arrest, including the German Shepherd featured in the video.
Two men were also present at the time of Frazier’s arrest.
The Jones County Sheriff’s Department, in charge of the investigation, said they have “several videos that are so graphic that we are not at liberty to release them or even discuss the particular content”.
The investigation is ongoing, and police suspect that more videos may have been shot.
Frazier remains in custody at the County Adult Detention Facility, with a bail set at £20,000.
Frazier’s first court appearance was on April 6, 2023.
Jones County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Sergeant JD Carter stated that this was “one of the most disturbing cases” he has ever investigated in his 17 years in law enforcement.
