Wizkid’s Essence remix with Justin Bieber now in US Top 30

Wizkid released his fourth album – Made in Lagos – in October 2020, which was and still is publicly loved and acclaimed. Essence’s remix  with Justin Bieber has risen to US top 30 chart and continues to go wild.

Wizkid gave his fans a lovely surprise on Friday, August 13 2021 by dropping a remix to the “song of the summer” which originally featured Nigerian songstress Tems.

The remix saw Justin Bieber add some spice to the Afrobeats smash tune.

Within 23 hours of its release, the remix has moved up to the 30th position on the US Apple music chart while it sits comfortably in the 21st position on Apple music’s global music chart.

Also, it hit a million YouTube views in less than a day, making it the fourth song to do that on Wizzy catalogues to hit such milestone.

This is coming after Saweetie hailed Wizkid’s recent release as one of the best.

Saweetie could not stop purring about the album in a conversation with Complex when she was asked about her Greatest Albums of all Time albums.

“I really love Wizkid’s Made in Lagos album, I feel like it suits every vibe, I can be cooking, I can be cleaning, I can be on the phone call,” she said.

“I really enjoy the positivity and happiness that comes with listening to ‘Made in Lagos’ I think it’s up there.”
