The Prince and Princess of Wales are set to bring sparkle and style to this year’s Royal Variety Performance, returning to the Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday evening.
The annual charity gala, supported by senior Royals, showcases theatre, comedy, and music while raising funds for those who have dedicated their lives to the entertainment industry.

A Charity Close to Their Hearts
The Royal Variety Charity has been supporting professional performers for decades, providing financial aid, grants, and care for those in need.
In 2024, it launched a mental health initiative to assist individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, and other challenges often linked to the unpredictable nature of entertainment careers — a cause particularly meaningful to William and Catherine.
The charity also runs Brinsworth House in Twickenham, a residential home where retired performers can enjoy life among peers who share their passion for the stage.
Stars, Music, and Special Performances
Hosted by comedian Jason Manford, this year’s show will feature a dazzling mix of acts.
Highlights include an exclusive performance from Paddington The Musical by composer Tom Fletcher, as well as appearances from the West End and Paris casts of Les Misérables, celebrating the show’s 40th anniversary with stars like Michael Ball, Matt Lucas, and Killian Donnelly.
Popular singers Jessie J and Laufey will also take to the stage, promising a lively and varied program. On the night, the royal couple will meet performers and representatives from the charity, further highlighting their support for those working in entertainment.
Six Times at the Spotlight
This will mark the sixth time William and Catherine have attended the Royal Variety Performance, continuing a tradition of royal engagement with the arts.

The first Royal Variety Performance took place in 1912 at the Palace Theatre, London, with King George V and Queen Mary in attendance.

In 2024, the Royal Albert Hall welcomed His Majesty The King, patron of the charity, showing that this enduring British institution continues to unite royalty, performers, and audiences for a good cause.
