The Ogun State Government has pledged that fences that are demolished would be immediately replaced in the course of constructing the 3.9km Molusi College Road at Ijebu-Igbo, in Ijebu North Local Government Area of the State.
The Government also revealed that the road, when completed, will be fully equipped with all utilities, including drainage, layback, street lights, and service dots amongst others.
The State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, who made these disclosures on Thursday, said engineers working on the project have been mandated to deliver a good road towards improving commercial activities and free flow of human an vehicular traffic in the area.
“The contractor has been charged to give us the best. They will be delivering a road complete with all accompanying utilities.
“We have also created an avenue not to put the burden of reconstruction on structure owners along the road. We are immediately replacing fences demolished for right of way,” he added.
Engr Akinsanya also pointed out that the project is an indication of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s commitment to the development of road infrastructure, adding that “His Excellency, Governor Abiodun is known to insist on quality.
We can therefore rest assured expect quality road network as well as utilities that will ensure seamless travel, avert flooding and enhance the economic growth of the host local government and the State Government at large.”
