As many parts of South Africa prepare for another chilly week, KwaZulu-Natal is doing its own thing — and it’s feeling pretty warm about it.
If you’ve stepped outside in the province lately, especially in the northern regions, you might’ve been surprised by just how toasty the mornings have been.
Northern KwaZulu-Natal Gets the Heat First
According to weather forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela, the heat isn’t going anywhere just yet.
“We’re expecting warm to hot conditions in the northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal this week, with partly cloudy skies prevailing,” he said.
That means places in the northeastern corners of KZN are likely to keep seeing sunny spells and light clouds — but don’t count on any refreshing rainfall.
Clouds Are Rolling In, But Don’t Expect Rain
Even though some parts of the province may see patchy cloud cover, forecasters say rain is highly unlikely.
Coastal areas might feel a bit humid, with moisture hanging in the air, but those hoping for a downpour will probably be left waiting.
So yes, it may look like rain at times, but umbrellas can probably stay tucked away — for now.
Steady Warmth Into Midweek
As we head toward Tuesday and Wednesday, the forecast remains steady.
Warm daytime temperatures will likely stick around through midweek, giving locals a bit of a reprieve from the usual winter bite.
Whether you’re beach-bound, running errands, or just soaking up the sun from your backyard, this warm pocket of weather is something to enjoy while it lasts.
Will the Heat Last Through the Weekend?
That’s the big question — and it’s a little too early to say for sure.
With weather always ready to surprise us, there could still be a shift by the end of the week. But for now, the warmth is holding strong.
