Voting begins at Jiwa Ward as APC candidate’s name missing on voters’ list

Voting begins at Jiwa Ward as APC candidate’s name missing on voters’ list

At polling unit 002 in Jiwa Ward, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), the accreditation of voters started at 10:20 am for the FCT Area Council election; however, while the names of candidates of the different political parties participating in the Chairmanship election were displayed, the APC candidate’s name was conspicuously missing.

Recall that the supreme court on Thursday upheld the candidacy of Murtala Karshi, against Alhassan Suleiman Gwagwa (aka Biggy), who was, until Thursday ruling as the favoured candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters.

Although the aforementioned raised many eyebrows, it didn’t stall the process.

According to the Presiding Officer, Agwu Agnes, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) provided 2,401 ballot papers for the Chairmanship and councillorship election.
